There a few places in the world where you can feel nature, where nobody had spoiled its beauty with artificial additions. There are a few who sow for the preservation of wild animals. Just a few see a native wood as a temple to be preserved.
Some feel glad when birds eat their fruits. There are those who guard the landscapes, with reverence and respect. You can find those that preserve the integrity of a stone and let it rest where it belongs. And many of these people make that in Uruguay Natural.
In the Paso del Obispo region, among the native woods of the San Juan River, and 50 km away from Colonia del Sacramento, we find La Milagrosa ranch. The name belongs to its ancient chapel consecrated to the Virgin of the Medalla Milagrosa.
Here in La Milagrosa lies La Posada del Viñedo –The Vineyard Inn-, a place to let yourself be overwhelmed by the beauty of landscapes, the delight of foods prepared with products from our organic farm, garden and orchard, together with our excellent wines. Even tough in the inn you can share a meal and a comfortable space with a hundred people, it does only have four rooms, each with private bathrooms. That is why if you intend to enjoy a couple of days with us, we’d appreciate you made a reservation, as we receive guests all year long. It’s always a good time to come and visit La Posada del Viñedo.
The hospitality is granted by us. We have the joy and responsibility of preserving this place, of sharing with you its past, legends and future, and maybe some of its invisible realities. We’ll eat our own San Juan’s black headed lamb roasted in the typical “asador”, with wine from our organic vineyard of genuine French Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot; the picturesque “empanadas”, “pastelitos” and salads with vegetables from our oraganic garden and orchard. And, above all, we’ll enjoy al this in a pleasant atmosphere given by the native art. Looking forward to share this unique paradise with you, Stella Maris and Héctor |
